Our campaign runs twice a year, in Spring and Autumn, in partnership with more than 150 charities across the UK. During this limited-time event, the cost of writing or updating your will is covered by us and our charity partners, up to £150. This means you can write or update your simple will for free, or get a will with trust at a discounted rate.

Why should you write or update your will?

Most estate plans begin with a will. It is the only legal document where you can decide:

• What happens to your home
• Who inherits your treasured possessions
• Who looks after your children if they are under 18
• What your funeral arrangements look like

About the October Legacy Free Wills Month offer

Many people choose to leave a gift to charity in their will as part of this campaign, although it is not required to claim the free will. In our last campaign, gifts in wills raised £15.2 million for charity.
